C.G. Higher Secondary School Pasrur

In 1898, on the site of what is now Christian Girls’ Higher Secondary School Pasrur, a small school for orphans was opened with the idea of helping people in the remote areas around Pasrur. This small school ultimately become a boarding school for children up to Class 5 andin 1927 the school was upgraded to Middle Standard, enrolling students up to Class 8. In 1972, Pasrur Middle School was nationalized. In 1998, the school was denationalized and handed back to the Presbyterian Education Board. At that time the school buildings and academic standards were in a deplorable condition. Over the years since 1998, the Presbyterian Education Board has worked to improve the infrastructure of the school as well as the academics. The school was upgraded to a high school and then in 2014, to a higher secondary school,affiliation with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala.The school offers an extensive choice of subjects at Intermediate level and encourages its Matriculation students to stay on at the school. The school has a reputation in Pasrur as one of the best English medium schools and it has always been renowned for the holistic education that is provided.
