Principal’s Message

At Christian Girls’ Higher Secondary School Pasrur, we place a strong focus on student academic progress and achievement. We are an English medium school and deliver a curriculum based on the Oxford syllabus in a diverse range of subjects, which goes significantly beyond the minimum expectations required by the local examination board. We have high expectations of our students. They work in an environment which stretches and challenges them, as they are encouraged to achieve demanding targets. This is evidenced in the way that our Matriculation results have continued to improve year by year. In 2015, one student achieved 1049/1100 and 27% of students achieved A+ or A grade. Such success is a result of the partnership between the school, the students, and parents. I am very proud of the exceptional body of teaching staff we have working across the school, engaging the students in a wide range of exciting learning opportunities and of the parents who involve themselves in their children’s education.

Our students’ success cannot be defined by qualifications alone. Students are encouraged to participate in the extensive array of opportunities which exist beyond the classroom. Many opportunities exist in debating, sport, and drama, and we also have a school band. Students of Christian Girls’ Higher Secondary School Pasrur enthusiastically participate in the Inter-school Science, Urdu Debate, English Debate, Sports, and Carol Singing competitions run by the Presbyterian Education Board. The school always does well in these competitions, winning prizes at the different events. The school also offers a large range of visits and trips both locally and across the province. Staff at the school ensure that every student is guided and cared for so that their individual needs are met. Students leave Christian Girls’ Higher Secondary School as dynamic young women who will make an impact wherever they go, equipped to play a leading role in whichever walk of life they choose. Christian Girls’ Higher Secondary School has a furnished Boarding House for 100 Christian students. Girls from the village areas around Pasrur can live in the boarding house whilst studying at the school. Not only do they receive an academic education, but they are also enabled to grow in their faith.
